Spa Day at The Haven by Depilex

First of all  apologies for being MIA this whole time.               

We had to take a break for a while but now WE ARE BACK with a BLOG POST!!

The previous Sunday Warda and I visited a new salon that has recently opened its doors for the ladies, located in Faisal Town for a much needed Spa day . Since the lock-down and COVID, we have been super cautious in stepping out so needless to say this was a long awaited relaxing treat that we really needed and thoroughly enjoyed.

 

In talks today is The Haven by Depilex Salon and Spa; a new project by the Depilex Group. Needless to say they have proved to be the visionaries and pioneers of the beauty industry yet again. The first point that goes to them is the location, right on showk chowk, connecting different areas with clear visibility such as Wapda Town, Johar Town, Peco Road and if you go further back then Valencia Town, Lake City and so forth.

Well you cannot miss it even if in traffic! 

Here is what our first reaction was... WOW! We'll tell you why. When you enter the salon, the first you thing you see is the fountain with a beautiful chandelier on top (photo area 👌) and those hand drawn gorgeous leaves at the back of the reception.

You all can see for your self how beautiful the interior looks. 

Well thought out and great attention to detail. Its says spa and

 that is what the ambiance is all about. 

Boasting four floors, the ground floor has a Multi-purpose room and Coffee bar where as the basement has two sections, one being a Bridal Makeup Room and the other a Hair Department with wash points and hair cutting/dying area. 

Leading to first floor is the carefully designed Spa area which is the real deal girls! It has a separate room for manicure and pedicure room, allowing maximum four people for services and that is where we both almost dozed off ( will come to that part later when we talk about the services). On the same floor is a Hammam (yes you read that right.. got a bit of Turkey feels in there), Facial/ massage/Waxing room followed by a  Steam room (before every facial the room is prepared for you  to open those clogged pores!).

And last but not the least a Jacuzzi room. Yes relax those knotted muscles right in there. From subdued lighting to specific playlists, the overall ambiance is specially designed to provide a sense of calm, rejuvenation and relaxation. On the second floor is Depilex Institute so anyone who is looking to enroll in the famous courses, then here is your chance.

Now coming to the services. What stood out most was the welcome thali, that has a warm towel to clean your hands, dates and almonds. A pretty different concept and nice one at that. Not to forget healthy as well.

Next up was a consultation with Isma Majeed who is a partner in the project with Redah Misbah, Director Depilex Group. She consulted first with me and then with Warda with a detailed checklist for our Manicure and Pedicure services. Coming from a background of Dentistry, it was right up my ally.

 It is good that a salon has taken this step to consult with their clients in detail about hygiene and health and recommend services based on that. So up we go to the Spa floor for our Hydrating Glow Manicure and Pedicure; which by the way was given from The Haven's own body care range! GIRL!! The girls assigned to us knew their work, followed all hygiene protocols (yay!) and earlier I talked about different concept; here is another one. We were each given hot pads infused with herbs to keep at our backs. Not only were they comforting but upon asking the purpose of it, we were told that it detoxifies and aids in relaxing your body.  

                 

          

 Since I have an Oily Skin, and I have overdosed on scrubbing at home, the skin therapist, Erum, recommended me Skin Purifying Facial Glow. And let me tell you one thing, the experience was so rejuvenating and relaxing. As you can see from the pictures above, I was wearing pretty heavy makeup with gel liner, and my skin came out, baby soft and no flaky nor dry patches were in sight. 

After that, I had  a quick trimming done by Tania, who gave good haircare guidance and again she pretty much knew what she was doing. My hair length was not shortened and as instructed, was done by her. 

So all in all, me and Warda thoroughly enjoyed our services at The Haven by Depilex and you all should drop by too!
